Breaking News! On Thursday, October 8, 2020, NID released new information to the public to update the 2020 Water Planning Projections. This includes two new additional Five Year Drought Alternatives and charts that show the Average Estimated Flow for each NID system.

In light of this update, NID granted the Foothills Water Network's request to extend the comment deadline to Monday, October 19, 2020. SYRCL and the Network thank NID for granting this extension, this will give our community the additional time needed to adequately review the new materials.

There are also presentations and appendices posted as well. To read all the documents, visit NID's Water Planning Projections website

As a reminder, NID's Water Planning Projections are important because they will be incorporated into important management plans such as the Raw Water Master Plan (also known as The Plan for Water), Urban Water Management Plan and Agricultural Water Management Plan.

This is an important process for our community to obtain a sustainable water future and a great time to listen in and become informed about critical planning information.

NID Elections - Get Out the Vote!

Voting is a very important part of our democracy, as well as an essential way for community members to voice their opinions about issues that matter most. One of those important issues is the management of our precious water resources.

Nevada Irrigation District (NID), one of our local water agencies and proponent of the proposed Centennial Dam, is governed by a 5-member Board of Directors. Two of those Director seats are up for election this November. The final debate is tomorrow, Tuesday October 13, 2020.
