NID to Review new Plan for Water Proposal
This Wednesday, NID's Water and Hydroelectric Operations (WHO) Committee will review the new process proposal to update the Raw Water Master Plan (RWMP), also known as the Plan for Water. As a reminder, the RWMP is important because the updated hydrology, water supply and demand estimates from the Plan will feed directly into NID's environmental review of the Centennial Dam Project.
Highlights of the proposal include:
Review of the data by a third-party Technical Expert Panel
Robust diverse Stakeholder Engagement
Analysis of the American River Basin Study
SYRCL applauds NID for continuing to prioritize this key planning document and looks forward to hearing more details.
As a reminder, there are two different ways you can watch and/or listen to the NID Board Meeting this Wednesday. You will need an internet enabled computer equipped with a microphone and speaker or a mobile device with a data plan. Use of a webcam is optional.
